Even at such a young age, the fashion industry has taken me to places I could never have imagined and moulded me as an individual. My first real big step into the industry was being accepted onto a Fashion and Business Saturday course at MMU, which I was offered because of my work during GCSE Textile Technology at just 14 years old. I devoted my weekends to this course for two years and returned for a third year, as a student helper, which ended in June 2018.My heart lies in creation; imagining a product and then moulding it into life is what I love. Though I might not be in a creative job right now, it hasn’t stopped me from keeping my creative fire alive, I put aside a lot of my free time for sewing projects and design work so that I am never far from what drives me. I want to better myself and develop new skills in the industry that I have always loved, an entry level role would be perfectly suited to me and I know I could bring so much energy and individuality to a new environment and brand in the world of fashion and design, a world which I am so passionate about.I have a variety of qualifications in fashion design, fashion and business studies and fashion technology and have worked overseas in design internships, now I am searching for a garment technology placement in which I can learn and develop in.
