As the Administrative Manager I serves as the single point of contact between IU and the State for communications on all reporting requirements and Contract issues. Coordinate with the university and state project directors on all aspects of the WISE Indiana partnership. Provide overall administrative support and oversight for the partnership including supervision of the team members. Work with team members to develop and oversee the strategic vision for the partnership.

Assist in developing and operationally directing the Indiana CTSI’s Monon Collaborative initiative.Develop, implement, direct, and grow the initiative’s mission and vision to positively impact the health of Hoosiers through coordinated, rigorously evaluated, and sustainable interventions that, if successful, are disseminated and scaled statewide. All initiative activities will be done in partnership with the community – partners consisting of stakeholders from statewide to grassroots organizations. Grow and lead the clinical research infrastructure around community impact projects, conducted by the Indiana CTSI, taking place locally and throughout the state. Hire, train and manage staff and students/trainees engaged in this infrastructure.

As the Director of Administration (Director) in the office of the Dean of the core campus of the IU School of Nursing (IUSON) and Deputy Chair of University Clinical Affairs (Dean/DCUCA), I serve as the primary advisor to the Dean/DCUCA in directing, monitoring and implementing the high-level strategic, operational, and organizational agendas and initiatives for the IUSON. As the director, I assist the Dean/DCUCA with administrative duties, special projects, and managing and overseeing external affairs communications, activities, and priorities for IUSON.

Manage operations of all research activities in the Indiana University School of Nursing (SON). This includes the staff and infrastructure of the Center for Research and Scholarship, which includes pre and post award services, the Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic Illness (CEQL), the Center for Research In Nursing Education, and all research and research training activities, both internally and externally funded. Coordinates and represents the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship in external communication with University research programs and their associate administrations, external funding agencies and foundations. Works with the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship to develop strategic directions for the SON research enterprise as defined above. Initiate and/or edit ideas/concepts, develop goals, and prepare various communication pieces related to all research activities in the SON. Edit official responses to various constituents such as synthesizing and integrating requested feedback into position papers and other communication pieces. Coordinate the preparation and writing of documents, reports, and research papers related to all development efforts. Make recommendations to various internal and external constituencies regarding public relations and image building related to the research and scholarship missions and enterprises of the SON. Manage and administer all research budgets and accounts of the research enterprise as defined above.

Managing the activities for the Center for Nursing Education, Center for Enhancing Quality of Life and the Training in Behavioral Nursing Research program.• Coverage of additional job responsibilities during the Director of Research Operations search which include budgeting and fiscal oversight, space allocation, reporting, development & implementation of grant tracking database, pre-award proposal development/oversight and post-award management• Hire/train/supervise administrative staff and research assistants for CR&S, CEQL, CRNE, and T32• Manage and work closely with the former Director of Operations and Associate Dean for Research on research and scholarship strategic plan for the school• Identifying funding opportunities that match interests of nursing faculty and fellows• Manage internal pilot project research programs• Provide guidance and leadership to research project managers • Manage all activites for the Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic Illness (CEQL), Center for Research in Nursing Education (CRNE) and T32 NIH federally funded training grant: work closely with faculty, PhD students and postdoctral fellows on pre- and post-award support, knowledge of federal policies for training and other federally funded grants, experience in federal grant management, maintaining budget, strategic and fiscal planning for CEQL, T32 and CRNE, and develop communication and marketing pieces for all centers and work closely with the SON marketing team to highlight research accomplishes in CEQL, CRNE and T32

Managed the day-to-day activities for the Community Health Engagement Program (CHEP) of the Indiana Clinical Translational Sciences Institute (Indiana CTSI). • Managed day-to-day operations of CHEP, a program of the federally funded Indiana CTSI, which included budget management, hired/trained/supervised staff, progress report preparation, developed/implemented CBPR pilot project program, coordination of multiple working groups • Assisted the directors in the development of the strategic plan for future directions of CHEP which included management and collection of data evaluating services offered by CHEP • Facilitated ongoing communication and coordination of board/committee meetings and materials for the Indiana CTSI Community Executive Board & Indiana Biobank Community Advisory Board • Developed and maintained partnerships and collaboration opportunities through ongoing communications with our community (public & private) partners and academic researchers • Developed and maintained website content and marketing materials for CHEP
