At our clinic we value a personal touch, many of our patients are receiving life changing news that can be devastating at times, we provide not only our nursing care, but a support system for our patients. We work out hardest to make them comfortable, feel heard and voice any and all concerns. It takes both passion and compassion to work and thrive in oncology. Along with our interpersonal skills we have many skills such as constant assessments for reactions or adverse effects, early intervention, invasive procedures and monitoring for our biopsies, bone marrows, paracentesis patients and much more. As well as our daily PICC line and port-a-cath maintenance. We are able to form a special bond with our patients and walk them through some of their most trying times. Show less
