I am currently studying a Postgraduate Degree in Education (5-11) at Sheffield Hallam University with the intention to graduate with QTS. My studies enable me to gain and abundance of experience teaching at both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 level across all subjects, including Maths and English. My experience in SEND and EAL schools, appointed by this course, has been invaluable to my learning and professional development, making me better equipped and capable of being flexible in my teaching approach. As well as developing the essential qualities needed for teaching at a practical level, I have been able to expand on my previous theoretical analysis skills developed throughout my Undergraduate degree in English. The Masters element of my course has allowed me to explore theories and approaches across teaching, which have impacted how I develop and deliver my teaching practice, allowing me to constantly change and adapt to suit individual needs. Both my experience in Undergraduate and Postgraduate education have successfully equipped me to complete the academic year with QTS, ready to begin my NQT in September.
