I love a good red pen edit ... and the chance to gush about things I love. My jobs in the past haven't really felt like work because they centered around things I absolutely loved, like experiencing new countries or sharing about causes I care deeply about. Writing professionally doesn't really feel like writing professionally when your job is to write all about something you love. I've landed a handful of positions which showcase that ability. From writing succinctly for snappy email marketing campaigns, to integrating perks and pain points in nuanced web copy, I strive to drum up all kinds of excitement for concepts people were previously unaware and indifferent about. Through writing millions of words a month, I've pinpointed the highlight reel of what makes me flourish (and the best asset to your team) — 1. Writing about what I love, which has a wide spread that includes all things cooking and culinary, clever design, products/causes I believe in, anywhere on this globe, and companies on my "currently obsessed" list. 2. Catching pesky inconsistencies and errors: I'm a sucker for a good style guide, whether that's one that needs strict adherence to, needs a relevant update, or just one in the first place. 3. The chance to research, where I can dive into a topic I didn't know anything about and learn the main ideas along with the tidbits that lure in readers. 4. Anything "humanities focused". I've always loved the world art, architecture, literature, design, history, etc (which probably why I majored in the topic). So that's a quick snapshot of me, with hopefully lends more personality than a technical sum up (though can do that, too): "I'm an experienced Content Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. Strong editorial and brand identity skills, with personal and professional interests in travel and culture, art and design, as well as cuisine.
