Provided community (perimeter) air and noise monitoring, oversaw the implementation of required Construction Mitigation Measures and documented compliance in written monthly reports submitted to the New York.

Riverhead, NY

Educated the public and students (ages 10 – 18) about estuaries and their ecological significance aboard the Atlantis Marine World’s explorer tour boat. Introduced ecological concepts through hands on investigation, scientific observations, fish seining and guided field walks.

Participated in ecological resource assessments for municipal and private entities including wetland delineations, environmental site assessments, and plant and wildlife surveys.Prepared Parts 1, 2, and 3 Environmental Assessment Forms, Negative Declarations and Resolutions for SEQRA compliance.Completed State, Federal, and Local Permits, Phase I.

Worked with the Long Island Sound Study, part of the EPA's National Estuary Program. Developed a fish passage assessment protocol.Gathered data on land acquisitions in the Long Island Sound Watershed for EPA reporting. Collected baseline data for a dike removal project at Sunken Meadow State Park.

Sampled rivers and streams for turbidity, salinity, pH, temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen.Assembled water quality volunteer handbook.
