I am currently the Marketing Coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. I recently just graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in public relations. I decided on PR because of my love for communicating with different types of people as well as my ability to work well under pressure. Studying communications helped me realize my potential in leadership, so I decided to take on a high role within my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, as Chapter President. My sorority consisted of over 100 active members, which has led me to learn a lot about the importance of communication, as well as teamwork and crisis communication. These skills have helped me thrive within not only my major, but also at my internship and my part-time job. I was recently the Communications Intern at the Town of Normal, where I worked with the communications team on the various social media accounts, creatives, event planning, and organization. I also work at Culvers in Bloomington, IL as a manager. I have worked there for the past six years and it has given me real world experience with people from all walks of life. Throughout these experiences, I have developed a passion for leadership and have learned the importance of teamwork when it comes to the field of communication.
