A graduate BSc Psychology student at the University of Portsmouth with an interest in Forensic Psychology (specifically Psychopathy Personality Disorder, aggression, and reasons underpinning decisions to commit crimes and memory research into the misinformation effect).My interest in researching started when I did an Extended Qualification Project (EPQ) on the diagnosis of Psychopathy Personality Disorder (PPD) in my second year of college. I thoroughly enjoyed all the reading of different sources I had to do even more so because it was on a subject I had been curious about for a while, having previously read Simon Baron-Cohen's 'Zero Degrees of Empathy' and Robert Hare's 'Without Consciousness: The Disturbing World of Psychopaths Among Us'.Whilst at university I took part in group studies (study planning and data collection) with peers in university, and have achieved the position of research assistant on a dual-process reasoning study with the research Dr Nina Attridge, and am currently undertaking a research placement with Dr Hartmut Blank where we are conducting a meta-analysis on the misinformation effect. I would love to continue learning more research skills and getting practical experience with more researchers in areas I am most interested in. I am very interested in going on, after completing my master's, to complete a PhD with the intention to become a professional researcher in the field of Forensic Psychology.
