With six years of Mental Health experience in clinical therapy, social work and counseling, I would like to join your team as a Licensed Social Worker. I have worked in different capacities within mental health and social work including: foster care case manager, vocational placement specialist, and family / individual counselor. In these positions, as well as others detailed on my resume, I have been an active member of interdisciplinary teams; ensuring seamless care for each client served, reducing backlogged cases and aiding overloaded co-workers. My experience includes:• Identifying the appropriate coping skills and therapy for clients with drugs and alcohol, depression and anxiety, sexuality concerns, schoolwork and self-discipline problems, time management issues and family crises.• Coordinating the intake, placement and replacement of children in foster care.• Monitoring 24 hour assistance pager and facility surveillance systems to aid shelter staff with local domestic family and sexual violence emergency victims.• Highlighting community mental health needs as a published journalist and advocate.I have taken some time away from this line of work to address family concerns and worked in the Sales & Restaurant industry; however my true place is in the field of Mental Health Services.
