Under Emily's guidance, Kings Tutors was voted the best company for graduates to work for in the “Charity, Education and Public Services” sector at The JobCrowd Awards 2016/2017 as well as being a finalist in the 2021 Education Investor Awards for the ‘private tutoring provider’ category. Kings Tutors is endorsed by the Good Schools Guide with an A rating: “Kings goes the extra mile when it comes to finding the right match and inspiring children to reach their full potential. Hardly a parent we spoke to hadn’t recommended Kings to a friend and most praised them for being responsive, friendly and outstanding at matching. She was appointed as a director of The Tutors’ Association from May 2019 to October 2021; an industry-led initiative which seeks to promote best practice in tutoring.Passionate about children’s education, Emily noticed that too many children did not have the support they needed to pass the increasingly competitive school entrance examinations or the support to cope with the pressure put upon them. This is an issue that is close to her heart. Emily strongly believes that one to one tuition can be something that can work alongside formal education and that it focuses on individual styles of learning.
