I am a former teacher who has transitioned to the world of technology, with a passion for software and solutions. With my degree in English, I have always loved language and how words are used to create meaning, to create something from seemingly nothing. I found this same passion could extend to coding. It is so gratifying to be a builder, but I love the infinite, more intangible materials technology utilizes. There are structures in place, but the creativity is endless. I want to be a part of what has made technology and computing such a huge catalyst for change. As a high school English teacher for nine years, my love of learning has been foundational in this new career field. No one can learn all there is to know about coding languages, frameworks, and the endless different ways there are to build, but boy has it been a fun challenge to try. I am detail oriented, which has been instrumental in debugging and problem solving. I am practiced in communicating with others in a way that is understandable to the listener, breaking down complex ideas into manageable, digestible content. Finally, my organization skills allow me to balance and prioritize multiple goals with the ability to meet hard deadlines. If you have a passion for tech, EdTech, or even if you want to talk about the last great book you read, I would love to connect!
