As a server at Arden Restaurant, I have developed and demonstrated multiple skills that are essential for any professional setting. I have learned how to multitask, manage time, organize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. I have also honed my decision-making, problem-solving, and customer service skills, as well as my ability to maintain poise under pressure, anticipate and read people's needs, and adapt to different situations and personalities.In addition to my work experience, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies/Affairs at Portland State University, where I am exploring my passion for natural resources management and policy, and how they intersect with social and environmental justice. I have acquired a strong foundation in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles, and how to apply them in various contexts and scenarios. I have also enhanced my communication and interpersonal skills, and my capacity to convey complex concepts to different audiences through an inclusive lens. I practice critical self-reflection, mindfulness, humility, and curiosity when engaging with others, and I am committed to cultivating healthy relationships and a sense of belonging in the workplace and in the community. I strive for solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
