I love listening to stories. Who doesn’t? Stories have the power to change hearts (and from there almost anything else) in a way that solely statistics and numbers just can’t for a large portion of the world. I grew up in Mozambique and Malawi, submerged in storytelling culture, and that is where I fell in love with listening to stories and working in inter-cultural settings. Since then I have grown that love by working with The Immigrant Story as a human-interest journalist, interviewing refugees and immigrants about their lives and putting their stories into writing for them to save and share with others. This is my biggest passion, and I hope to continue to expand my work to Sub-Saharan Africa (one of my other favourite passions), finding and writing down stories that are too fascinating to not be shared. I want to be a tool to help stories to take over and change the world for the better.
