Our goal is to educate next generation donors and the local population to increase donor turnout to blood drives. As an organization, we emphasize the importance and power of diversity, both in the donor pool and also within our organization. - Established the chapter through recruiting general, chair, and board members, expanding our chapter from 2 to over 100 members. The purpose of this organization is to produce and provide thousands of personal protective equipment to organizations nationwide, for free, especially for groups at risk of exposure to bodily contaminants. - Perform outreach and correspondence to local businesses and large corporations for direct PPE donations (sewn masks, N95, hand sanitizer, gloves, etc)- Attend weekly meetings to assess COVID prevalence and identify communities with the highest rate of transmission and the most dire need (low SES communities, nonprofits, childcare centers, homeless shelters, free clinics) - Coordinated and secured a donation of 13,000 pieces of PPE (3,300 lbs) for general distribution- Facilitated a pick up of 728 lbs of disinfecting wipes between a PPE supplier and an emergency relief organization
