About Emily Laney

I am a Hospitality and Event Professional with over 20 years experience. In 2004 I received my bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, with a focus in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After graduating I worked in the casual theme dining segment, specifically for T.G.I.Friday’s for 10 years. During my time there I focused on working one-on-one with the guests and the employees responsible for the quality of their experience. In the past nine years I have been able to explore my interest in producing large scale events and have successfully held positions at music festivals including DelFest, Lockn', Floydfest and The Festy Experience. I have performed in a range of positions from Box Office Management to ABC Operations to Operations Director.
