I am a Master of Gerontology candidate at the University of North Carolina- Greensboro. I am enrolled in the part-time program and working full time as a Life Enrichment Leader at a Retirement Community. I graduated from Wofford College in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Philosophy minor. While attending Wofford, I was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the zeta eta chapter, and spent four years as a member of Wofford Companions, a group that partners with special needs adults in the community; during my last two years, I was elected president of Wofford Companions.I discovered my passion for working with the aging population when I began working for Lifelong Learning at Wofford College. I conducted a research project with assistance from my professor to address successful aging in Spartanburg. I was fortunate to present my findings to a larger audience at Harvard University. This project further motivated me to pursue a Master of Gerontology. I have learned much about aging and received extensive experience interacting with this population. I am confident that I will make a positive impact on their lives.
