Emily Hazan has always had a curious mind, the confidence to embrace risk, and the ambition to create stimulating and intelligent ideas. Recognizing her ability to shun the ordinary has led her to peruse a career in the creative advertising industry. Emily acquired the foundation of her skills at OCAD University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Design in Advertising in April 2013. After graduation, she quickly landed the position of lead art director/designer at Engagement Labs (formerly Entrinsic), where she specialized in digital and social media design. This position gave her the opportunity to develop strategic creative concepts, adapt to a fast-paced environment and interact with clients on a professional and personal level. In doing so, she recognized the importance of attention to detail, open-mindedness, maintaining an orderly work area and developing strong time management skills. In addition, her position as an art director has further solidified her abilities with industry-standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
