Led Room to Read's Girls’ Education Program for over a decade. Redesigned the program to ensure impact, sustainability, scalability, and cost effectiveness. Directed the development of standard life skills curriculum building on evidence and practitioner experience to be used in Asia and Africa. Inspired, engaged, and sustained program leadership team in 9 countries through uncertainty of restructures and program redesigns.• Grew Girls’ Education Program globally by 100x, from 316 participants in 2003 to over 30,000 girls benefited to date.• Championed sustainability and community co-investment by bringing the Room to Read financial contribution to material costs down by 66% without increasing girls’ dropout.• Spearheaded update of Room to Read’s list of life skills competencies and approach incorporating latest evidence and promoting measurement of impact.• Developed and operationalized quarterly dashboard to monitor implementation, spending, workforce, and quality of the Girls’ Education Program in 9 countries.• Secured commitment of internal and external stakeholders to controversial program changes through development and operationalization of a comprehensive communication plan with targeted messaging.

As the very first employee hired by co-founders, helped grow this NGO's presence throughout 11 countries in Asia and Africa with budget expanding over 13x from $3 to $40+ million. • Critical in the launch of Room to Read in Laos, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Zambia and helped strengthen/expand existing programs in Cambodia, India, Nepal, and Vietnam. • Served as interim COO for 3 months, managing SF Programs Team and Country Directors, as well as overseeing initiatives across 6 countries.• Led strategic planning for the Girls’ Education Program, bringing in perspectives from internal and external stakeholders, detailing program outcomes, and garnering unanimous Board approval.• Led the effort to operationalize strategic plan for program, collaborating closely with colleagues at all organizational levels to build a concrete strategy with a 4-year outlook.• Convened 5+ internal workshops amongst program staff in Africa and Asia, to generate new initiatives, including adding life skills and field-based mentors to program.

• Planned and orchestrated 10-day tour of educational program in less than a week, arranging for showings at 10 schools and 1 prison to reach 1,850 total attendees. Coordinated all public relations and press/television coverage.• Facilitated a comprehensive 60-hour training program to imbue 22 new volunteers with counseling and public speaking skills, thereby positioning the program to reach exponentially more people in need.• Furthered the impact of this program via outreach events, public relations, and volunteer trainings.

• Planned, developed, and delivered programs that inspired significant increases in academic performance and confidence levels amongst a diverse student base, as reported by guardians and teachers.• Assembled, trained, and empowered a 12-person team of youth workers spanning 4 ethnicities and languages, raising the program's professionalism and quality of services.• Along with co-director, kept program running for its planned 9-month duration.• Won Paul Harris Fellowship and Special Recognition from the District Governor.
