Conducted investigations of reports filed with the NYS Central Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment. As a Senior Caseworker, was responsible for investigating more difficult reports including sexual and physical abuse. Coordinated with law enforcement, schools and other community providers to control for the safety of children identified to be at risk of harm. Initiated legal proceedings in Family Court. Drafted court reports and developed case plans. Made referrals to appropriate community and contract providers. Provided on the job, field-based training to newly hired staff. Supervised assignments and unit work when the unit supervisor was not available.

Successfully trained line and supervisory staff for the implementation of Connections Build 18; worked with local administration and OCFS regional staff to develop local policies & procedures for the contract and direct provision of child welfare services; conducted internal case reviews for CPS and Family Services; developed and produced reports to track performance indicators across the Services Division. Supervised CPS work for two auxiliary staff.
