I am the lead engineer for the Volvo Super Truck II project at XDIN. This is a US Dept. of Energy funded program to double the freight efficiency of a Class 8 highway truck. I manage the full CAD model using PTC Creo and assist with packaging studies for various components, including chassis, electrical, and cab. I also work with different suppliers and act as a single point of contact to ensure that all relevant data is exchanged so the CAD model is accurate and current. Additionally, I worked on the pneumatic system for the Mack Defense Heavy Dump Truck (HDT). I was responsible for compiling a bill of materials for the entire pneumatic system, and for creating relevant installation drawings to assist with the truck build. I also made a schematic of the air system which was unique for this truck. I designed sheetmetal and machined parts from prototype through full scale production, keeping cost and manufacturability in mind. I used GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and dimensional tolerance analysis to produce part drawings for manufacturing too.I also help manage quality of deliveries for our work packages. I check and release CAD parts, drawings, and assemblies into the Windchill/PDMLink system. I also track all design change notices that are being released to ensure they are approved on time and without errors.

I taught for middle and high school classes for all subjects. I typically delivered instruction based on predetermined lesson plan. Additionally, I filled in for a long term absence for a Chinese language course. This entailed preparing and delivering daily lessons for students in 9th, 11th, and 12th grade for 2 months.

I led a weekly problem solving session for students in linear algebra and multivariable calculus. The PILOT program was centered around a peer learning model, rather than a traditional lecture style. Also, as the head PILOT leader for linear algebra, in addition to my weekly problem solving session with students, I also led a meeting for the other PILOT teachers every week, as well as organized and facilitated the review sessions we held for all the PILOT students three times every semester.

Worked with Dr. Catalina Spataru (UCL Energy Institute) on the interconnection of the electric grids of islands to increase the use of renewable energy. My main project was to write a literature review on the interconnection of electrical grids in the Caribbean. This was to help assess the feasibility of increasing the amount of renewable energy they use. Additionally I researched several types of energy modeling software and presented a summary my findings to a group of PhD students. I also organized a database of EU energy system data.

I led groups on zip line and rock climbing. I was also awarded the Specialist of the Week award.
