About Emily Mannisto-Meyers

Transportation Planner with a focus in trails, active transportation, and corridor redevelopment. In my current role, I have worked on a diverse array of transportation projects, from developing Transportation System Plans and citywide bike plans, to conducting a feasibility study on mobility hubs, to analyzing the impacts of transportation projects on greenhouse gas reduction. Above all, I am passionate about the planning, development, and stewardship of both long-distance and local community trails. I moved to Portland after thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2014, and am deeply grateful to be able to work on the trails that I love. Outside of work, I can be found mountaineering, rock climbing, bike touring, and running along the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest. Background in GIS, public policy, and community organizing. Former executive director and co-founder of Alpenglow Collective; a national climbing community for women and underrepresented genders, made up of over 2,500 members. Experience in company management, strategic planning, outreach and partnerships, public speaking, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, marketing, and social media. Experience in graphic design, creative writing, and entrepreneurship. Thorough background in customer service. Certified Single Pitch Climbing Instructor with the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA)
