In this role I work as a Community Occupational Therapist with diverse clientele in North Brisbane. ABLE therapy is a established private practice with a range of health professionals and a supportive team. I work with range of funding bodies including NDIS, DVA and My Aged Care to support clients with assistive technology, home modifications, falls prevention, skill development and capacity building.

A customer service role where I developed my communication skills and ability to uncover customer needs and wants for their pets. I used this to suggest and recommend relevant products and information.

In this role, I was able to work in the occupational therapy and physiotherapy team at Regis Residential Aged Care. This gave me experience with older adults and opportunities to work in the areas of fall prevention, pain management, mobility, advocation for social engagement, and participation. I also had the opportunity to develop and implement an exercise group for the residents.

In this role, I was able to work in an adult acute psychiatric unit and engage with various consumers in this service. This service included voluntary and involuntary short-term inpatient management & treatment during an acute phase of mental illness until the person has recovered enough to be treated effectively and safely in the community.

In this role, I was able to work in a collaborative, goal-orientated service focused on rehabilitation for a range of clients with different clinical presentations and personal circumstances.
