I have over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including everything from fast food to fine dining. My passion lies in farm to table, from scratch, nutrition based cooking, which I have been doing since I could reach the stove, but have been doing professionally for the past 5 years. I enjoy the challenge of making something extraordinary from limited ingredients, and I love using bold flavors and unusual combinations, and lots of color in my dishes. My favorite job, since I started my culinary career, was as the house chef for a fraternity; I had complete creative freedom in my work, I was able to work with a variety of local perveyors to get the best deals and sustain the local economy and build relationships within the community, as well as gleaning the graditude and affection of a great group of talented and intelligent young men. My biggest joy in life is being able to bring happiness and spread the love through good food. To accomplish this, not only do I work full time running a kitchen, but I am also an independent kitchen consultant with Pampered Chef, which allows me to share my knowledge and love for food through a more personal approach.
