- Assist a graduate student with his research of crop plant metabolism, focusing on identifying the metabolites of psychoactive pharmaceuticals found in reclaimed wastewater for agricultural irrigation.- Prepared stock solutions including 10+ target compounds in methanol. Used HPLC system consisted of a pump with a binary high-pressure gradient mixer, a degasser, and a column oven. A QTrap 5500 mass spectrometer was used for the identification and detection of all substances. - Freeze-dried plants and grounded them into fine powder to perform solid-liquid extraction.

- Assisted in managing day-to-day field operations for large-scale construction project, ensuring project milestones were met on time.- Supported environmental compliance efforts by taking stormwater samples, tracking fuel, and monitoring air handling installations.- Engaged with subcontractors and trades to resolve field issues and ensure quality control. Led Spanish-speaking orientation.- Collaborated with project managers and site supervisors to track fireproofing, pre-cast, roofing installations, and other critical project components such as safety protocols. - Assisted with running tests and examining data for experimental analysis of the refrigeration performance of cooling systems with different channel shapes. The aim of the research is to evaluate the performance of aluminum flat plate cooling systems with different shapes of an inner channel along which liquid water circulates.- Performed approximately three tests a week and inspected the resultant data for the remainder of the week. Used an IR camera to monitor both the temperature distribution on the top surface of the plate and the mass flow rate of the inlet and outlet temperatures of the cooling water. - Adapted to a Spanish-speaking work environment.

-Co-created a nonprofit called LEAD (Lead, Engage, and Discover) STEM.-Partnered with Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) and Gibbs Elementary School to hold STEM/leadership classes at Gibbs and MCCH.-Expanded members and raised a total of $10,000+ for students at MCCH and Gibbs Elementary to provide educational opportunities for students of low-income families. -Organized a fundraiser with social distancing in order to keep raising money during the pandemic. Tie-dyed facemasks and created an Instagram account to display and sell the masks.
