I manage the Language and Culture Coaching Program for current and prospective multilingual teaching assistants. In this program, I train and supervise undergraduate Language and Culture Coaches who support multilingual graduate students in developing their oral communication skills for their roles as TAs. I also serve as the instructor of record for the program's course and lead program tracks on presentations, classroom culture and communication, and linguistic features of spoken American English.I also oversee the administration of the Test of Oral English Proficiency (TOEP), which is used to determine whether graduate students have demonstrated the requisite language proficiency for holding TA positions. In this role, I develop and review testing processes and procedures, train raters and student staff, develop norming materials, and communicate with students, departments, and other stakeholders regarding testing.

Curriculum: updating curricula to better meet the needs of CISL's student body; developing/updating course goals, student learning outcomes, and course objectives; ensuring that curricula meet the standards required by the school's accrediting body and submitting documentation as evidence of the school's compliance with accreditation standards related to curriculum, student progress, etc.; training and supporting instructors; developing and implementing new assessment procedures and tools; reviewing and selecting course materialsData Management: building, managing, and updating the school database; developing tools for tracking and monitoring data on student achievement, enrollment, recruitment, and placement; training school staff on using the databaseI also continued completing the duties from my previous role at CISL.

This language school offered intensive English programs including both business English and academic English. I performed several duties:Client Services: processing student applications and enrollment; advising students and maintaining accurate records for F-1 students in SEVIS as a school DSO; recruiting students and supporting the school's international agents; developing and managing a database of student recordsAccounting: overseeing student fees and payments; ordering supplies, equipment, and textbooks; creating reports on school revenue and costs; developing and managing a payroll databaseAcademics: supporting the Academic Manager with the development and implementation of curriculum and academic policies and procedures; managing academic data; leading projects for improving aspects of the school's curriculum and handling of academic data; writing accreditation reports on the school's curriculum and performance

I taught English courses to English language learners, gave private lessons, and assisted the Academic Manager with administrative tasks.

I scored the writing section of the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication).

I independently taught introductory writing courses (ENG 101 and ENG 102) and also taught an intermediate-level ESL writing course in the Intensive English Program on campus (LEAP Program).

Wright State University, LEAP Program: I tutored students in grammar, conversation, and pronunciation and acted as a classroom assistant in grammar, pronunciation, editing, and writing classes from beginner to advanced proficiency levels. Belmont High School: I met with a group of five ESL students in weekly sessions over the course of a semester to help them complete a project about their new community. I led discussions, taught them how to research in the library, helped them to adjust to their new culture, and tutored them in English.

I tutored elementary-age children in this after-school program for Latino students. I helped students improve their literacy, math, and English skills with group and individual tutoring and also just supervised their play and snack time. I helped the Program Director to brainstorm ideas for making the new program a success and helped to train program volunteers.

I tutored college students in formal logic, algebra, chemistry, philosophy, and English through Student Support Services (a program that supports students who are first generation, low income, or with a documented disability) and through the Center for Academic and Tutorial Services, which provides services to student athletes.
