I have been involved with the connect project which has given me an understanding of the Portal, HP QC and Support works. Here I liaise on a monthly basis with the client company employees, investigating the issues that they bring to me and finding solutions for them. I also work with the client companies to ensure that we complete each payroll run correctly, to their specifications, and on time. I worked with Northgate’s ‘Select HR’ and ‘Business Fusion’ interface creating objects, groups, activities and access. I worked on ASP pages changing client code using HTML, VBScript and JavaScript. I created test plans specific to each project then followed these test plans to test the new implementation of the project. For the documentation, I collected the information on the pages, objects and database tables that had changed for each project. The Companies that I came into contact with whilst I was employed with this company included Easyjet, London Stock Exchange, Sanctuary Housing and Scottish water who all had different needs to take into account whilst working on their projects.
