As part of my requirements for graduate school, I founded a small company in Honduras that makes and sells Eco-friendly women's sandals. The company currently employs twelve people, all of which are co-owners in the operation. We manufacture the sandals in Honduras and sell them across Central America. I currently serve as a consultant and part owner in the business.

I write local, state, and federal grants for area non-profits, women owned business, start-ups, and agricultural projects. I also consult with non-profits and start-ups to help them assess their business and marketing processes and make necessary changes to develop, implement, and drive profitable, sustainable, and responsible growth. I served as a contract Development Director for start-up, Arts Alliance Tulsa, for about a year to get their fundraising efforts and business practices set up when they began operations in late 2015, and did the same for Tulsa Girls Art School in late 2016. I am currently writing and consulting with over a dozen area non-profits and small businesses. My company generates over $2 million in grant revenue for our clients every year.

108 Contemporary is a non-profit arts organization. It functions uniquely as a community arts center and a museum quality gallery. It is free to the public, but the exhibitions rotate every 6 weeks and all the artwork is for sale. The revenue generated from gallery sales helps sustain the community programming and allows the organization to not only rely on donations and grants for operating expenses. I provided thoughtful leadership to a team of fantastic employees and board members to create this organization from scratch, which supports the community while simultaneously providing unprecedented visual art procurement opportunities for local and regional art collectors. I oversaw the extensive remodel of a warehouse into a state of the art gallery, event center, and office spaces. I utilized critical thinking and decision making, as well as extensive market research to launch dozens of community based programs and revenue generating gallery exhibitions. Successfully led grant writing and fundraising efforts to supplement earned revenue for this ongoing non-profit organization. I made practical use of effective communication and collaborative team skills to drive a results focused team to develop this effective nonprofit from an idea to a real organization which provides arts education to the community, opportunities for local artists, and original museum worthy visual art exhibitions free to the public and for sale to collectors.
