I enjoy research and writing, building relationships, and putting the right people and resources together to meet goals and solve problems. I am both a leader and a team player.I have conducted research and analysis for the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts, Human Rights Watch, FIRST Legal Clinic, Judicial Bench of Snohomish County Superior Court, Korematsu Center for Law and Policy, and other private and public organizations. I have helped develop operations processes and substantive programs for several not-for-profit organizations and charitable organizations. I cofounded two of these organizations.I have participated with organizations as a mentor to Latina, LGBTQ, and marginalized youth. I have been a mentor to law students and attorneys who are parents. I am culturally competent and good at communicating with people of different backgrounds and understanding. I am an eager learner and interested in understanding everything, but I appreciate my limitations. Therefore, I like to coordinate with people and resources to maximize efficiency and get things done well. I race off-road vehicles and manage an off-road race team. I have two teenagers and a spouse. I understand how to manage pressure and resolve conflict.
