I was appointed Manager for the Payroll department in Reed Talent Solutions. My role is to ensure that payroll is delivered to two of our top clients in a compliant and timely manner on a weekly basis. Some of my responsibilies are outlined below:Providing a weekly payroll function to Royal Mail and Lloyds - approximately 7000 candidates weekly.• Managing my team effectively and efficiently• Reporting in to Managing Directors and Senior Staff within the business• Resolving complex payroll queries and Employment Tribunal cases• Processing timesheets and ensuring payroll is processed on time using RIMS• Processing Holiday, SSP, SMP, SPP.• Front line for Candidates and Managers to direct payroll complaints and queries• Liaising with the business for incorrect/returned BACS/CHAPS payments• Tax & N.I queries/calculations• Managing several email accounts on a daily basis• Creating and Managing CHAPS Payments on a daily basis.• Managing conference calls with Managers regarding compliance. • Monthly and Quarterly reviews with my team members• Covering holiday and sickness• Networking with our clients and attending weekly/monthly update visits across the UK.• RTI's and PensionsIt is paramount that my time management skills, leadership skills, organisation and dedication to the role are precise to ensure our clients are happy. As a result I have prided myself in being able to gain the trust and respect of senior leaders within Reed Recruitment, due to my willingness to be flexible and adaptable, often working long hours, to ensure the client is satisfied. I am therefore relied upon by my superiors to provide a quick and timely response and resolution to anything they may bring to me.I am currently studying Sage Accountancy to further my skills within the payroll field in my free time. On completion of this I aim to do my CIPP qualification.
