Hi!My name is Emily Patterson and I am a business major at UW-Oshkosh, looking to pursue finance or accounting. I have always been into numbers and the algebra side of math, so I am hoping an internship in one versus the other will help to open up my eyes a little bit further!My previous job history doesn't scream business, but the soft skills I've learned along the way will be more than beneficial in any business position. Skills like teamwork, organization, and delegation have really helped to transform me as a person and as an employee. Starting mid high school, I got my first job as a CNA, and labor and delivery became my home through now. I gained another job as a JV softball head coach for my hometown for the 2023 season and I enjoyed both it and the girls more than I thought I would've. Both experiences have opened me up to things that were out of my comfort zone and although it can be uncomfortable, I wouldn't have changed these experience's for anything. Outside of working and school, I spend most of my time with my family and friends. My family is one of the most important things in my life and they are the ones who shine the light when I need it most. I also enjoy spending as much time as I can with my dog and of course that means lots of walks and outside time. Walks and working out are my favorite ways to spend my free time, but also just being active in general. I am very excited to expand myself to the business world!
