Assisted Dr. Olga Kovalerchik’s mixed-methods study to evaluate emergency medical practitioners’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to screening and counseling for overweight and obesity in the emergency department. Conducted and analyzed semi-structured interviews with 20-25 participants using best practices for qualitative research methods (e.g. open coding, iterative codebook development, multiple coders, memo writing). Evaluated the design of an electronic survey to assess initial views of 100+ emergency medical practitioners and recruit participants for semi-structured interviews.

Provided support across domestic public health social marketing and communication projects on a wide range of topics, including obesity and nutrition, diabetes education and prevention, and concussion prevention.
