As the Service Development Lead for Education at NYBEP, I play a key role in shaping strategies for business growth based on local and national educational priorities. Through collaboration and analysis, I identify areas for expansion and build strong relationships within the education community. Working closely with various stakeholders, I strive to ensure smooth experiences for our customers and deliver solutions that meet their needs effectively. Additionally, I lead the development of innovative educational offers, grounded in research and collaboration, to make a positive impact on schools, employers, and young people alike.

As an Enterprise Coordinator in York and North Yorkshire, affiliated to The Careers & Enterprise Company, I help young people in York and Harrogate to realise their potential.My role is to:• Lead the local Enterprise Adviser network• Connect schools, colleges and employers to help improve careers and enterprise provision for young people• Make it easier for employers/self-employed people to engage with schools and collegesI do this by:• Building effective relationships with local schools and colleges.• Establishing and supporting a high-profile and high-performing volunteer Enterprise Adviser network, working one to one with local schools and colleges• Stimulating even more activity from local employers/self-employed by engaging with local organisations e.g Chambers, CBI, FSB, IoD.• Harnessing the energy and support of senior employment and education leaders in the area

Supporting schools across York and North Yorkshire with employability and careers activities

Working across a large region to provide careers advice, information and guidance to National Careers Service customers to help them to meet their identified goals.

Project lead and management of a range of extracurricular activities, including the NCL+ award, the Pride of Newcastle awards, the Career Development Module and accreditation scheme. Supported the development of a satellite campus in London and managed staff remotely. Responsible for budget management, marketing rebrands as well as line managing a team of FT and student staff and volunteers. Won national recognition as ‘Staff Member of the year’ in 2014 through NUS.
