Activities include: design and develop the scholarly and research components of GRI technology projects; manage a departmental budget as well as a team comprising project managers, a research assistant, graduate intern, and a research data specialist; produce, and facilitate the production of, DAH scholarship in the form of digital and printed publications as well as conference and symposia presentations; advocate for the adoption of digital art history methods, practices, and outcomes in the broader field of art history as well as within the Getty Trust and the GRI.

I provided CASVA deans with database and website support for their research and specialprojects, including conceptualizing and writing proposals for computer-based, scholarly research projects, and articulating CASVA's technological needs to the Gallery's web and IT staff. In addition, as the first to hold this position, I established parameters and best practices for computer-based research and publication at CASVA, as well as standards which can guide continued development of these tools.

I served as the design and developer for this online, scholarly journal from its creation, in 2001, to 2013. I produced the journals issues during this period as well. Worked with managing editor Petra ten-Doesschate Chu to secure a grant from the Mellon Foundation in for the development of a special digital humanities-focused section of NCAW. I subsequently oversaw the development of six articles funded by the grant, published from 2011–15.
