About Emily Pyle

Currently working on my Master's in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Georgia State University!Research interests include: local queer histories/activists projects in the U.S. South, (Christian) Right mobilizations and their relations to queer histories, impacts of local governance on queer community formation and organizing, and more!Author of the undergraduate thesis, "Southern Hospitality for Whom? Queer-Targeting Measures in the American South," a work dedicated to documenting local anti-gay resolutions in Georgia and South Carolina passed between 1993 and 1996, and, more largely, professing the powerful force that is the Queer South.
