Translating climate and sustainability commitments into action and organizational change is my passion. I am a facilitator, strategist, educator, and collaborator. As the Sustainability Program Manager for Summit County, Utah, I am learning to do this work in a county with both rural and resort communities, where housing availability and affordability is a huge challenge, and where the impacts of climate change are being felt through drought, heat, and other factors. My responsibilities include tracking our greenhouse gas emissions, advancing initiatives to electrify our fleet, achieve net 100% renewable energy at our facilities, and enhance energy efficiency throughout the community. Previously I worked as the Program & Partnership Coordinator for Portland State's Campus Sustainability Office where I created and supported opportunities for the campus community to contribute to and engage in campus-wide climate action and sustainability initiatives. I lead Portland State's renewable energy strategy, working collaboratively to secure the University's enrollment in Oregon's first green tariff and community solar programI have a Professional Science Masters in Environmental Science and Management and a Graduate Certificate in Energy Policy and Management from PSU.Before PSU, I worked for three years at Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI), a nonprofit located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and as a high school science teacher on the East Coast for two years.
