I oversee all of the organization's contributed revenue as well as revenue earned through fundraising events and government grants. Spearheading these efforts at an organization growing in both stature in the community and caliber of art exhibitions, I employ all of the latest development strategies to grow the overall revenue.

As the Director of Annual Giving at the Virginia Symphony Iled the development department staff in achieving a $3 million annual goal. Overseeing three full-time staff members to assist in development efforts as well as a call room manager, I developed and executed a multi-faceted annual fund plan including public funding, foundation and corporate support, individual giving, and special events. I utilized the full spectrum of industry techniques including major donor cultivation and solicitation, direct mail, telefunding, grant writing, and sponsorship procurement.
