As an associate coordinator I aide in assisting the couple getting married with various planning aspects such as vendor recommendations, creating the timeline + floor plan, and answering all wedding related questions that they may have. I also conduct regular meetings with my clients leading up to the day of thier event to ensure a quality experience! Day-of, I ensure the wedding runs smoothly by setting up and tearing down their decor, managing vendors and timeline, and ensuring a great guest experience through problem solving and customer service.

In my current position I work within two spheres: team management and venue management. Within team management I create, manage, and communicate the schedule our team of 20+ individuals, I train and equip all new team members to do their assigned role within the company, and I aid and assist the team with questions, projects, and advice as needed. Additionally, I aid in the interviewing and recruiting process to keep our team strong. Within venue management, my main focus is to maintain a standard of excellence through the presentation of our space. From tasks as small as changing lightbulbs all the way up to updating major design elements in the space, all of the details are important to me and are vital to keeping things pristine.

Coordinated both weddings and other social events on behalf of the venue. In this role, I maintained communication with 30 - 40 clients at a time in a professional manner, executed many events, actively participated in sales by giving tours to prospective clients, conducted in-person and phone meetings with my clients to discuss the details of their event, and sought to upkeep the venue itself to maintain a high level of excellence.

In this position, I assisted the Event Coordinator on duty with event execution on both weddings and other types of events. This position taught me the most about the wedding and event industry as a whole and equipped me with a lot of knowledge that I took with me into my various other roles within the company.

At Starbucks, I expanded my knowledge on customer service extensively especially when it came to the balance of speedy service while also making a connection with your customers. I wore many hats as a barista beyond making drinks according to their recipes: taking orders at the drive thru and in cafe, helping with stocking and inventory rotation, receiving payments, and preparing the food items safely and properly.

Managed social media for an interior and exterior painting company. This position built my skills in copywriting via social media captions as well as light graphic design work through Canva. I also kept track of the analytics on both our Instagram and Facebook pages and did research on how to engage our audience and reach new potential clients with the power of social media.

At EB Coffee + Pub I worked as a barista serving coffee, craft beer, and food to many regular customers. Given that this was a more local, small business brewery, I was able to build strong relationships with the people that I had the opportunity to wait on. This was a very integral part of my growing professional skills and customer service mindset.
