CurrentWorking with Prof. Robert Hindges lab group, I have been exploring the utilisation of zebrafish as genetic models of schizophrenia. Using CRISPR-Cas9, I have generated stable knockout and knock-in lines and F0 CRISPants for several schizophrenia-relevant candidate genes: tenm4, zdhhc5a, zdhhc5b, pcnx3, wscd2 and actr1b. These genetic approaches will be combined to generate multiple mutants for analysis in a high throughput behaviour pipeline, whole-brain functional imaging and small molecule drug screens.I have also collaborated on other projects with Matt Parker's lab in Surrey, exploring the ADHD-related gene adgrl3.1 and multinational behaviour assay standardisation.
