My name is Emily. I’m currently an undergraduate freshman pursuing a degree in finance at the Naveen Jindal School of Management located in the University of Texas at Dallas. My passion for finance started when I entered the Global Business, language, and leadership magnet program at Naaman Forest High School. Throughout my high school experience, I obtained classes both in accounting and finance and became fascinated with investing. I also had the opportunity to travel and learn how global companies master to adapt to today's issues. I gained my Entrepreneurship and Small Business certification in my high school career. I am looking forward to graduating in the summer of 2025 with a degree in Finance and starting my journey as a professional. While attending college I desire to improve on my communication skills and network in order to be a successful student. While perceiving my degree I plan to seek an internship to expand my knowledge and to experience my career path work environment. I am currently employed at Party City, a retail chain company located in Garland, Tx as a sales associate. Throughout my experience in retail, I have developed my communication skills, punctuality, and customer services skills. Capable of building effective relationships with peers and management to drive team success toward sales, service, and operational goals.I have enjoyed helping my community for the last 4 years. I have volunteered at my local church Good Shepherd Catholic Church in their annual festival by donating food to fundraise towards church needs.
