Project Manager
CurrentI work across directorates to prevent silo working and ensure the best outcomes can be delivered. Alongside managing plans, milestones, risks, governance processes and decision making, a key part of my role is stakeholder management and ensuring key interdependencies between strategic programmes and priorities are effectively mapped, managed and actioned.
Local Authority Liaison Officer
I performed this additional role for Dorset Council Emergency Response team. I was on call for any emergency incidents across Dorset where Council representation and coordination was required. I have undertaken specific training delivered by the Met Office, Dorset Police and Dorset's Local Resilience Forum for this role.
It Project Officer
The main aim of the role was to deliver key IT change programmes to meet the councils 'digital by default' strategic vision. I worked inline with the councils project management standards and use specific software to govern projects that delivered a return on investment. This role required me to communicate project progress to key stakeholders effectively. I managed logistics and resources for IT projects, ensuring my colleagues had access to and knowledge of documents and activities. I maintained risk and issue logs for each IT change project and followed up on outstanding actions to ensure these are completed or escalated through the governance structure where appropriate. I have experience in writing reports for senior managers to update on the progress of key project milestones and the delivery on KPIs. Projects I worked on in this role included; customer wifi at Council harbours, Smart/ Agile working device enablement, Information Governance and preparing our Councils for GDPR, a corporate text messaging solution for customer facing services and the deployment of Office 365.
Transformation Support Officer
Within this role I supported a wide range of corporate projects, working with Programme and Project Managers within the transformation agenda to ensure projects ran smoothly within the agreed scope. I regularly conducted research and data analysis in relation to governance models, service delivery models as well as best practice and transformation examples across the public and private sector. My role required me to actively co-ordinate project team activities; workshops, programme boards, consultation and surveys. A key area of this role was to promote and co-ordinate messages of transformation across the organisation, working closely with Communications Teams to engage and motivate the workforce in a sector that is constantly changing.
Deputy Manager
A highly demanding role within a training store for East Lifestyle ltd. Main duties involved managing, motivating, recruiting and training staff within the South West. Supporting stores and colleagues on new systems and training needs for staff across the South West. Liaising with Head Office on new KPIs. Performing administration and payroll duties for the store. Travelling to new and existing stores to improve training and the level to which KPIs are met. I also provided product and system feedback to head office on a weekly basis.
