Writing ConsultantUniversity Of South Dakota Writing Center Jan 2014 - May 2016Vermillion, Sd, UsI worked with writers in 30 minute to hour long sessions on any portion of the writing process, including everything from developing ideas for a paper to putting the finishing touches on APA citation. The Writing Center's goal is to create better writers, not to correct papers, and to do that, I focused on asking questions to help move the writer forward in the process. I worked closely with many English language learners and students transitioning from high school to college level writing requirements. Additionally, I worked one-on-one with English Language Learners in ELL conversation sessions to help students who want to improve their conversational English. -
