My name is Emily! I started playing tee ball when I was 4 years old. I started pitching and playing competitive softball when I was 9 years old. I moved to Oklahoma when I was 13. I played school ball and travel ball until I graduated high school in 2014. I was recruited to the University of Tulsa to pitch for their softball team. I threw mostly rise and change and my game speed was usually low to mid 60s. My top speed ever was 72 in practice. I was All American there and I was drafted and played professional fastpitch softball after college. I graduated from TU in 2018 with my Bachelor’s in Business Management. In 2019 I went to the University of Oregon as a Graduate Manager for the Oregon Ducks softball team. I graduated from UO in 2021 with my Master’s in Nonprofit Management. After graduation, I moved to San Diego, California and did pitching lessons there. In 2023 I moved to Oklahoma and did pitching lessons there. Now I live in Midland, Texas doing pitching lessons at the DBat Permian Basin. I enjoy creating content for pitchers, softball players, athletes and leaders on TikTok and Instagram. @PitchingCoachEmilyI have a pitching training app called Becoming That Pitch where I have videos of me demonstrating all things pitching. I update it daily with leadership journal prompts, pitcher specific workouts and detailed bullpen guides. I am the author of a pitching journal called Becoming That Pitch. It is guided to keep track of progress in pitching practices, workouts and games.
