Editor of British Farmer and Grower and #studentfarmer magazines at the NFU. During my time as editor, BF&G won Magazine of the Year at the TAF Awards and #studentfarmer came runner-up in the PPA Awards Cover of the Year in 2013 and 2014, won Cover of the Year at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards in 2013 and 2014 and I was Highly Commended in the New Editor of the Year category in March 2015.

For the past four years I have been Deputy Editor for the NFU’s monthly magazine, British Farmer and Grower (BF&G), which is delivered to more than 50,000 NFU members and industry professionals each month. In addition to writing content and sourcing new features and interviews, I act as a sub editor for the magazine, working with Quark Xpress on the layout of pages, editing articles from freelancers and non-professional contributors to ensure every feature is written in the house style and overseeing the production process. I take a leading role in the appearance of the magazine, in particular the front cover, and I deputise for my editor in his absence.I created the magazine #studentfarmer, a free publication delivered to agricultural colleges and universities across England and Wales. Initially intended as a one-off magazine, #studentfarmer is now produced three times a year. I decide on all editorial content, work with a sales team on advertising opportunities, promote the magazine on social media websites and work with the designer to decide how the magazine should look. Only two people put the magazine together, including myself, but we were runners-up in the PPA Front Cover of the Year awards in 2013 for the first edition of #studentfarmer, beating titles such as Tatler, Elle and Cosmpolitan.I am also editor of Horticulture magazine, a quarterly publication delivered to approximately 10,000 growers in the country.

I was made a Senior Reporter at The Solihull Observer after just one year. During my time at the weekly newspaper I covered a variety of different stories, while completing the NCTJ qualification on day release. I attended numerous meetings and events within the local community, handled all educational stories, attended court and wrote advertorials.
