Principle Role, Responsibilities & Purpose:-To align with Kowalski's Companies identity as a civic business and to use a civic organizing approach in achieving strategies and business goals in our work plan. Use civic organizing disciplines to build civic capacity and build civic infrastructure to achieve technical business goals and to renew democracy.-To market and sell features and benefits of Catering by Kowalski's.-Within catering orders, up-sell Kowalski's services including Labor, Rentals, Supplies, Floral, Alcohol, and other products and services with clients whenever possible.-To assist the Catering Director in growing catering sales and key accounts in order to increase company profits and ensure sustainability of Catering by Kowalski's by responding to RFPs.-To collaborate with Catering Chefs to gain a clear understanding of menu items and to demonstrate the ability to speak confidently about them. To assist in the transfer of that knowledge to Event Leads and Serving Staff.-To organize Event Leads and Server stakeholders in the planning, execution, and follow-up of events bringing all events in on time and within budget. Work with stakeholders to identify and close gaps, governing wisely and justly to create outcomes that are sustainable and renew democracy.-Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, the ability to form relationships quickly, to overcome barriers, and to close gaps in daily work.-Meet clients'​ needs and exceed client expectations on all events.-Conduct annual Server Training to communicate Kowalski's Points of Difference, standards, procedures, to set expectations and build capacity of Event Leads, Chefs, and On-Call Serving Staff.-Maintain a digital photo library of past events to keep our website current and to use as a visual marketing tool to gain customer confidence.-Proficient use of Caterease software to sell and maintain information on all events.

Fulfills customer orders for Catering products and services, upselling labor, equipment, floral, supplies, alcohol, and other products and services to clients whenever possible. Coordinating with Catering Chefs, Event Leads, Serving Staff, and Delivery Drivers to ensure understanding and smooth execution of orders. Detail oriented and professional interaction with customers.

Assist customers on the sales floor and at the register. Use cash register to complete sales transactions, managing cash. Assist with merchandishing as necessary.

Execute Catering events according to plan, following the instruction of Event Lead. Demonstrate the ability to think quickly and problem solve to ensure smooth execution of events. Lift equipment, set up and tear down buffets and displays. Use food-safe procedures and monitor food safety.

Assist Department Professor(s) in grading assignments and tests. Manage class grade books and maintain discretion. Complete other tasks as requested by Department Professor(s).
