I lead formal hearings, pre-trials, and a jury trial with assistance from the prosecuting attorney. I conducted diversion meetings with participants to determine if they qualified for the diversion program. In addition, I wrote motions that were used in court. I wrote and coded warrants for participants who failed or did not qualify for diversion. I trained new interns on our process and our procedures.

I taught the students the game of girl's lacrosse through experience and expertise. I represented and managed the entire girl's lacrosse team at practice and all games. I researched lacrosse drills and games strategies to incorporate into practice.

I photographed the body and corresponding crime scene to ensure the proper documentation of evidence. Also, I spoke among different agencies including Fort Walton, Okaloosa, Escambia, and Santa Rosa County's sheriffs, detectives, law enforcement officers, and crime scene unit personnel, to ensure communication among departments about the current death investigation. I communicated with house supervisors at hospitals in regard to all reported deaths in order to determine jurisdiction of each deceased. In addition, I researched medical terminology to understand their meaning and application to the case at hand, to determine manner of death. I had to relay information about the medical examiner's role in the death investigation of the decedent to next of kin, to ensure the family's understanding of the investigation process. At the end of each case I was required to write up an official case report on the death investigation. To conclude the internship, I was required to create and present a presentation on any medical issue of my choosing, I chose to research brain aneurysms.
