The Community Education Partnership of West Valley City, Inc (CEP) is 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing before and after school opportunities for children, youth, and families in West Valley City, Utah. CEP was born in 2002 after a group of citizens, educators and community leaders became concerned about the lack of afterschool options for students. CEP currently operates 38 programs and projects in 23 Granite School District schools and serves over 6,000 students grades K - 12. We serve 300-500 parents at each school. Our children and families are diverse, speaking over 32 languages. At CEP, our mission is to equip students with the skills and resources needed to accomplish their dreams. Project StepUP is a therapeutic after-school program designed to help at-risk minority youth, grades 1-6, succeed in both their academic and personal or home lives. Formerly through Ensign Peak Services, Project StepUP was based on the Positive Action Curriculum, which is Cognitive Behaviorally based. Students were taught various skills (emotional, social, health) which in turn lead to more positive and prosocial interactions. After one year of intense, supervised intervention, Project StepUP was adapted into a Social-Emotional Learning focused program. -developed and adapted curriculum for pilot program-created outcome measure of academic progress for grantor reports-maintain open communication with all afterschool coordinators and school staff-instruct elementary school students in neuroscience, coping skills, goal setting and anti-bullying-presented on findings at Utah Afterschool Network JUMP conference 2017

Ensign Peak Services receives federally placed Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (refugees who have deceased or missing parents) and place them in foster homes across the Wasatch front.
