Washington Yu Ying is a Mandarin immersion school. As a member of the learning support team, I work with first, second, and third grades. In addition to supporting students in their general education classrooms, I work with students one on one and in small groups. I work closely with general education teachers to ensure that the needs of all students are.

I was also responsible for substituting for lead teacher and played a central role in academic planning and behavioral support. During this year, I took on the additional responsibility of tutoring third grade students in reading.

At the Wildwood Summer Extenstion Program, I was responsible for facilitating activities, maintaining safety and serving the needs of eleven children on inclusive functioning levels of the Autism spectrum in the 9-12 year old age group in an outdoor camp setting.

I traveled throughout New York to train local career center staff and Department of Labor employees on the use of the Metrix system.
