In addition to my role as a design lead, I curate space plans, create pricing plan documents and deliver detailed construction drawings as well as build and maintain relationships with our local landlord clients and their tenants. I also manage and mentor junior staff to ensure they are expanding their skill set and delivering Gensler level quality of work while maintaining tight deadlines.I am also a senior member of the team that established professional self-certification in the city of San Diego. For months, our team met with San Diego government officials to advocate for the need for self-certification. In September 2023, we received approval of this process which will facilitate shorter turn around times for permitting, positively impacting future projects with the city.

During my time at Landing, I designed short-term, high-end living spaces. In addition to my design responsibilities, I maintained focus on business goals and streamlined the team's design processes. We worked at a very fast pace so I was diligent with my organization and focus while maintaining a healthy sense of urgency throughout the design process. From space planning to furniture specifications, every detail was taken into consideration. I hand-selected each item to ensure that it was curated to fit the style, budget and overall design intention for the home.

I juggled many projects at once, so being detailed oriented, communicative and well organized was key to ensuring the projects I led stayed on track and were well executed.

During my time at IDA, I designed interior elevations, sections and details for luxury senior living facilities across the country. I handled large-scale projects through many phases of the design process including schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration. Becoming well-versed in the needs of my residents allowed me to successfully create environments that would provide a relaxing and comfortable setting while also promoting health and cognitive skills.

At Designform, I was responsible for coordinating interior space plans, finishes, furnishings, and product specifications within the design team. As the lead designer, I was able to work hand in hand with the architects to create complete sets of construction drawings as well as handling all finish selections. My projects included majority ground-up work on large-scale manufacturing and industrial buildings.

At Kyle Office Solutions, my responsibilities included rearranging furniture on showroom floor to be more visually enhancing for guests and clients, filling and ordering literature from a large number of office furniture companies, placing and organizing fabric and material samples in their proper location and learning the process of pricing furniture from manufacturers and fluctuations in prices.

At Lori Bates Interiors, my responsibilities included office-related tasks such as answering phones, organizing files, writing and sending out purchase orders through a computerized system. Also, I delivered accessories to job sites and placed pieces in the corresponding rooms, organized the sample library and cleared off work stations when needed and traveled to job sites with principle interior designer and was taught the process of designing a large-scale project from beginning to end.
