This was an all day camp where I worked with children ages ranging from 5-13. As a counselor I was in charge of planning out a full day of activities for my specified group of 13 children, keeping them active, while having fun. Each week was a specified sport that was to be taught to the children, which included teaching skills of each sport and putting together games. Another part of this camp were weekly field trips to the community pool, to a local roller rink, and another bigger field trip. My job was to organize groups and keeping track of everyone while on these trips. Our philosophy at work is children will lead by example so if I was not involved the children would not be involved, therefore I was a great leader to these children, whether it was playing tag, swimming at swim lessons, learning to roller-skate, or play soccer. Ram Kidz Village is an on campus day care for students with children. I first started out as a volunteer, just helping with children and taking care of them. Then the position lead me to a permanent job where I was still taking care of children while their student parents studied for school. I was a nanny for a family with 4 children, ages ranging from 9 months to 11 years old. This was an everyday job where I had to plan activities for the kids, take them to their planned activities, etc. Everyday meant I was there by 8 when the children woke up to cook them breakfast, pack their lunches, get some of them to summer school, drive others to camps, make lunch, get dinner ready for when the parents return home after work.
