Systems engineering model leader on the Passport 20 integrated engine program. Customer facing ensuring seamless communication between the GE Aviation Engineering team and our customer's Engineering team as we work through various field, test and assembly issues. Works closely with the design engineers to support them through reviews with our customer to gain approval of design changes including cost and weight reduction projects. Reports out to internal and customer leadership weekly to highlight progress on the key projects and elevate any issues in a timely manner.

Systems Engineering Model Leader for HF120 and CFE738 engine programs. Coordinated with the customer, internal engineering and product support focals, as well as joint venture partners to resolve manufacturing and field issues. Supported the Project team in cost reduction efforts. Technical lead for new NPI applications, defined requirements and executed to the work scope. Managed the engineering budget for both programs.

Lead and managed the Passport 20 Part 525 Engine Certification project. This included interacting daily with the customer to ensure the deliverable requirements are clear, as well as executing to plan for submitting the required certification and qualification documents. Tracked progress of the flight test program, the certification engine tests and the component qualification tests to stay abreast of design and schedule changes. Reviewed and interpreted the Part 525 regulations to provide the team guidance on what analysis and/or testing may be required to satisfy the regulators. Managed the requirements and schedules of suppliers which required multiple weekly meetings to track progress and mitigate concerns. Weekly reporting to the customer’s leadership, internal leadership, as well as supplier’s leadership ensures disconnects to the plan are elevated in a timely manner to allow the team to pivot as necessary to get back on track.

Integrated across organizations to ensure both technical and program goals are achieved for various configurations, controls/accessories/electrical hardware, nacelle hardware, ventilation/cooling and fire safety systems. Executed the analysis and evaluation of projects to meet business standards, practices and procedures, and the program requirements. Recommended approaches to meet the technical and program requirements. Identified issues and pro-actively developed actionplans to respond to problems. Monitored and communicated project status, business issues, and significant developments. Lead or participated in technical and program reviews.

Lead the design, analysis, test, and integration of the fan and core compartment cooling and ventilation systems, nacelle anti-ice, fuel and oil cooling and fire safety systems for the Passport 20 engine. Developed technical solutions that met the engine and nacelle program objectives. Defined, supported and analyzed data from engine tests to support certification. Provided technical guidance and mentoring to other employees. Lead or participated in technical and program reviews.

Designed various interior structural and electrical commodities for large cabin business aircraft in accordance with customer specifications. Implemented continuous improvement processes throughout the design and installation of these commodities. Partnered with shop technicians and material planners to confirm designs met manufacturing criteria prior to release. Also worked closely with certification engineers to ensure compliance with FAA regulations. Attended Lean foundation and 5S courses to help company institute a Lean culture as part of my personal development plan. Participated on a team to reduce engineering data defects using Lean principles in order to reduce engineering and manufacturing cycle times.Championed the development of a New Hire Orientation Handbook to help new employees gain the knowledge necessary for their role within a much shorter timeframe. The Handbook also standardized the knowledge that new employees should learn within the first 90 days on the job, and served as a good reference tool for existing employees.
